First Annual VIPS Pickleball Classic
Visually Impaired Preschool Services (VIPS) invites you to our first annual VIPS Pickleball Classic. This two-day event will take place at the Springhurst Multi Sport Center (4109 Simcoe Ln.), where participants form teams of two or four people to play pickleball—a paddle sport that combines tennis and ping pong. This fundraiser will also spotlight our VIPS Kids Town Preschoolers, as they hand out medals to pickleball winners and learn to play pickleball, showcasing that sports activities are accessible to children with visual impairments.
One hundred percent of the funds raised from the VIPS Pickleball Classic will be used to support the education of children with blindness and low vision throughout Kentucky and Indiana. Ninety percent of what a child learns is through their vision, and 85% of the foundation of learning occurs in the first 5 years of life. VIPS provides important early childhood intervention services to young blind & visually impaired children during these critical early years when major development takes place.
Become a Pickleball Sponsor
VIPS was the first—and continues to be—the only nonprofit agency in Kentucky and Indiana providing vision-specific services to our unique population of children. The funds raised at this year's tournament will help make the future brighter for over 700 children across both states. By becoming a VIPS Pickleball sponsor, you are investing in their future.
