The VIPS's Day of Giving is more than just a day, it’s a powerful opportunity to uplift the people who make a lifetime of success possible for children who are blind or have low vision: our teachers.

Our teachers of the visually impaired (TVI) and developmental interventionists (DI) are at the heart of what we do. They help babies and young children build critical developmental skills, offering hands-on support, hope, and guidance from day one. Your donation directly funds these life-changing services through our Early Childhood Intervention Program.

What is a Day of Giving?

VIPS's Day of Giving is a 24-hour celebration of community, compassion, and commitment to creating a world where all children are seen, supported, and set up for success. On June 27, 2025, from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. EST, families, friends, and supporters across Kentucky and Indiana will come together to ensure children who are blind or have low vision have the strong start they deserve.

Every dollar raised helps provide in-home visits, direct instruction from certified teachers, and essential parent coaching services that are often out of reach without VIPS. With your help, we can ensure no child is limited by a lack of access.

You can make your gift anytime starting May 27—we’ll count all donations designated to the VIPS Day of Giving received up to one month ahead of the Day of Giving toward our final total!

VIPS also welcomes Donor-Advised Fund contributions. To make a gift from your DAF, simply contact your fund advisor and recommend a grant to Visually Impaired Preschool Services (VIPS). Be sure to include "Day of Giving" in the grant designation or memo area so we can count your gift toward the campaign.

Will my employer match my gift?

Many companies offer matching gift programs to support their employees’ charitable giving and yes, VIPS accepts matching gifts!

If you’ve submitted a matching gift request through your employer, please let us know by emailing jaycock@vips.org so we can keep an eye out for it and make sure it’s credited properly. Matching gifts are a great way to double—or even triple—your impact!

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Yes! Visually Impaired Preschool Services (VIPS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your gift is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. After you give, we’ll send a confirmation and receipt for your records.
