Planned Giving

Leave a lasting legacy for VIPS children.

Leave a lasting legacy to VIPS!

There are a number of ways that you can include VIPS in your estate plans.  Not only will you be helping future generations of children who are blind and visually impaired, you will also receive personal tax and financial benefits.

Donors may become a VIPS legacy member by providing a gift through, but not limited to the following:

  • Endowment Gift
  • Bequest
  • Charitable Gift Annuity
  • Trust
  • Life Estate Gift
  • Insurance

A Tax Savings Opportunity

Are you 70 ½ years old or older with an individual retirement account? If yes, you are permitted to make a qualified charitable distribution from your IRA directly to a qualifying charity such as VIPS, without declaring the distribution as income. You may roll over up to $100,000 in any one year from your IRA without incurring any taxable income, per the Pension Protection Act of 2006, which became permanent last December.
